View JSON arrays and API responses as a sortable, searchable table

JSON input

Paste JSON or load an example to see its arrays as a table.
What JSON to Table does

JSON to Table turns a JSON array, or an API response that contains arrays, into a sortable and searchable table for inspection. It finds every array reachable through objects, such as $.data.users and $.data.orders, and lists each one with its JSONPath and row count so you choose the dataset instead of the tool guessing silently. Your JSON is never changed.

How to use
  1. 1.Paste JSON, upload or drop one .json file, or load an example.
  2. 2.Pick the array to show in Dataset; the table updates as you type.
  3. 3.Filter rows, sort by a column header, and page through 25, 50 or 100 rows at a time.
  4. 4.Hide columns you do not need with Columns.
  5. 5.Select a cell to copy its value or its JSONPath, or copy all rows as tab-separated text, or download them as data.csv.
Columns and cell values

Columns are the union of keys from every record, in first-seen order, so a key that only appears in a later row still gets a column. A key that is absent from a row is shown as a missing dash, while an explicit null is shown as null, so the two never look alike. Nested objects and arrays appear as compact JSON instead of [object Object], and Copy value gives you the pretty-printed JSON. Sorting compares numbers numerically and text with numeric-aware ordering, and missing values always sort last. Arrays of plain values are shown in a single value column.

Exports, limits and privacy

Copy and Download include every row of the visible columns in source order; the filter and sort only affect the view. Missing fields become empty cells, null is written as null, and text that starts with =, +, -, @ or a control character gets an apostrophe in front so spreadsheet apps do not run it as a formula. Numbers beyond JavaScript precision are rounded in the table and a notice names an example. From 2 MB, automatic updates pause until you select Build table. Parsing and rendering happen in your browser and the JSON is never uploaded.
