What this tool does
Image Resizer changes the pixel dimensions of PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, and SVG images in your browser, one image or a batch of up to 50. Decoding, resizing, and encoding happen locally, so images are never uploaded.
How to use
- 1.Drop, browse, or paste images.
- 2.Pick a preset such as Open Graph 1200×630, or choose Percentage, Exact size, or Max dimensions.
- 3.Set width and height, the fit, and whether smaller images may be upscaled.
- 4.Choose the output format and quality, then press Resize.
- 5.Check the result dimensions and download files individually or as a ZIP.
Modes and fit options
Percentage scales every image by the same factor. Max dimensions shrinks each image to fit inside a box while keeping its proportions. Exact size produces the width and height you enter: Contain keeps the whole image and adds letterbox space, Cover fills the box and crops the edges, and Stretch distorts to fill. With one side left empty, each image keeps its own proportions. The aspect lock fills the other side from the first image’s ratio.
Limits and notes
No upscale is on by default so small images are never enlarged. Letterbox areas stay transparent in PNG and WebP unless you fill them; JPEG always uses the background color. Animated GIFs keep only the first frame, re-encoding removes metadata such as EXIF, and the output can be at most 32767 pixels per side and 100 megapixels.
