What does PDF to Image do?
It renders the pages of a PDF to PNG, JPEG, or WebP images with PDF.js, the same engine many browsers use to display PDFs. Pick the pages you need, choose a size and format, and download each image or all of them as a ZIP. Everything happens in your browser; the PDF is never uploaded.
How to use
- 1.Drop a PDF or browse for one (enter the password if the PDF asks for one).
- 2.Choose PNG, JPEG, or WebP and an output size.
- 3.Type a page range such as 1-3, 5, 8- or click thumbnails to pick pages.
- 4.Click Convert and watch the progress; you can cancel at any time.
- 5.Download single images or Download all (ZIP). Files are named like report-page-3.png.
Size presets and quality
- •Output size is a scale factor, not an exact DPI: 1× / Screen renders one pixel per PDF point (a Letter page becomes 612×792 pixels), High quality doubles it, and Print-like renders at 4×. Custom accepts 0.25× to 8×.
- •PNG is lossless and best for text and diagrams; JPEG and WebP are smaller and offer a quality slider.
- •The background is white by default. PNG and WebP can keep unpainted areas transparent; JPEG always uses a solid color.
Limits and performance
Pages render one or two at a time to keep memory under control. The tool estimates the output size before rendering and asks for confirmation above 25 megapixels per page or 50 megapixels in total. Pages over 100 megapixels or 32,767 pixels per side cannot be rendered by the browser canvas, so choose a smaller scale. Rendering fidelity follows PDF.js, so unusual fonts or effects may look slightly different from other viewers.
