PDF Splitter
Split a PDF into separate files or extract pages in your browser
Drop a PDF here
One PDF up to 200 MB. Pages are previewed as you scroll.
You can also paste from the clipboard.
What PDF Splitter does
PDF Splitter turns one PDF into smaller PDFs without re-rendering the pages. Pages are copied as PDF objects, so text stays selectable and vector graphics stay sharp. Pick pages from a thumbnail grid or type a range such as 1-3,5,9-.
How to use
- 1.Drop, browse, or paste a PDF (or try the generated sample).
- 2.Choose a mode: extract selected pages into one PDF, save each selected page separately, create custom groups such as 1-3; 4-6; 7-, or split every N pages.
- 3.Select pages by clicking thumbnails (Shift-click selects a span) or by typing a range; both stay in sync.
- 4.Click Split PDF, then download a single PDF directly or all results as a ZIP.
Predictable file names
Outputs are named after the source file and the pages they contain, for example document-page-7.pdf, document-pages-1-3.pdf, or document-pages-1-3_5.pdf for non-contiguous pages. Duplicate names get a numeric suffix so nothing is overwritten in the ZIP.
Limits and privacy
Splitting runs entirely in your browser; the PDF is never uploaded. Files up to 200 MB are accepted, and thumbnails render lazily as you scroll. Password-protected or encrypted PDFs cannot be split until the password is removed. Interactive form fields and document-level bookmarks may not carry over to every output file.
