About This Tool
What is Unit Converter?
Unit Converter is a focused workspace for CSS units, digital storage, time, angles, frequency, ratios, and physical measurements. It includes only units with stable, universal conversion rules.
Developer and frontend conversions
The unified category list keeps common development conversions close at hand: px to rem, bytes to MiB, milliseconds to seconds, frames to timing values, angles, frequency, and percentages. CSS conversions support context such as base font size, parent font size, viewport width, viewport height, percent basis, and fps.
How to use it
Choose a source unit, choose a target unit from the same category, then type a value. The result updates instantly. Use the swap button to reverse the pair, adjust contextual fields when they appear, and copy the final result for CSS, documentation, API notes, or QA calculations.
Supported categories
Supported categories are CSS Units, Digital Storage, Time, Angle, Frequency, Percentage / Ratio, Length, Mass / Weight, Volume, Area, Energy, and Temperature. Standard units such as kilogram, gram, liter, meter, centimeter, inch, yard, square meter, and cubic meter are available alongside developer units.
Limitations
CSS relative units need context, so defaults are provided for quick estimates: 16px base and parent font size, 1440px viewport width, 900px viewport height, and 60fps. Pseudo-units such as boxes, pieces, reports, and rolls are excluded because they do not have universal conversion ratios.
