Barcode Generator
Runs locally in your browserCreate Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A and ITF-14 barcodes as SVG or PNG
The preview does not certify scan or print quality: test-scan printed labels, keep the quiet zone, and scale width and height together. Retail numbers (EAN/UPC) are assigned through GS1; creating an image does not register a number.
What does the Barcode Generator do?
It turns an identifier into a one-dimensional barcode you can preview, copy and export. Choose a symbology, type the value, and the preview updates as you type. Bars are drawn as vector shapes, so the SVG stays sharp at any print size.
Supported formats and validation
- •Code 128: printable ASCII text such as order or shipping references.
- •EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and ITF-14: enter the data digits and the check digit is calculated, or enter the full number and the check digit is verified.
- •Code 39 and Code 93: uppercase letters, digits and - . $ / + % (lowercase is converted).
- •MSI: digits with an optional Mod 10, Mod 11, Mod 1010 or Mod 1110 check digit.
- •Codabar: digits and - $ : / . + with A–D start/stop letters.
- •Pharmacode: a whole number from 3 to 131070.
Each format shows a specific message explaining what to fix.
Export and print tips
- •Download SVG for print and design tools; it keeps hard edges at any size.
- •Download PNG at 1×–4× for documents and web pages; whole-number scales keep bars on full pixels.
- •Keep dark bars on a light background and leave the quiet zone around the code.
- •Resize width and height together, and test-scan a printed sample before production use.
Privacy and GS1 numbers
Encoding and image export run entirely in your browser; values are not uploaded or stored. Generating an EAN or UPC image does not assign, register or license a product number. Retail GTINs come from GS1 or your organization’s numbering process.
