What this tool does
Meta Tag Generator builds the SEO, Open Graph and X (Twitter) tags for one page from a single form. It shows approximate search and social previews, checks common mistakes, and outputs the same tags as an HTML head snippet, a Next.js metadata object, React Helmet, Nuxt useHead or an Astro component.
How to use
- 1.Enter the page title, meta description and canonical URL.
- 2.Keep "Use SEO values for social" on to reuse them for Open Graph and X, or turn it off to write separate social copy.
- 3.Add an absolute image URL, alt text and site name for share cards.
- 4.Review the Search, Open Graph and X previews and the findings.
- 5.Open Code, choose a format, then copy or download it.
Features
- •Every value is escaped for HTML and JavaScript, so quotes, ampersands and angle brackets cannot break the output.
- •Tags are always written in the same order, and every format is generated from the same model.
- •Checks flag a missing or scheme-less canonical URL, relative image URLs, noindex, host mismatches and unusual title or description lengths.
- •Everything runs in your browser. Images are loaded only when you choose Show image.
Limits
Previews and length checks are approximations. Google, Facebook, X and other platforms render with their own fonts and may rewrite or truncate titles and descriptions, so no preview is an exact copy of a real result.
