RSS / Atom Feed Inspector
Local processing with network featuresValidate RSS and Atom feeds, review items and export the results
Input
URL mode sends this URL to CodingTool servers, which request the feed once from the target site without cookies or login, so the site receives a normal request. Nothing is stored; the XML is parsed in your browser.

What does the RSS / Atom Feed Inspector check?
It parses RSS 2.0 and Atom 1.0 feeds and reports structural problems that break feed readers, podcast apps and aggregators: malformed XML, missing channel or feed metadata, invalid or future dates, relative links, items without a link or id, duplicate ids and links, and enclosures with an invalid URL, MIME type or length. Every finding names its severity, the affected item and the source line.
How to use
- 1.Choose Feed URL and enter a public feed address, or choose Paste XML and paste or upload the feed.
- 2.Select Inspect feed.
- 3.Review the summary and diagnostics, then use Show line to jump to the XML.
- 4.Sort the items by date and expand a row to see its fields and issues.
- 5.Export the result as a JSON report, CSV, Markdown table or URL list.
Privacy and network use
Pasted and uploaded feeds never leave your browser. Feed URL mode sends only the URL to CodingTool servers, which request the feed once from the target site without cookies, follow at most 10 validated redirects, stop at 5 MB and return the XML to your browser for parsing. Private, local and cloud metadata addresses are blocked, and nothing is stored.
Limits
RSS 1.0 (RDF) feeds are recognized and reported as unsupported. The inspector checks feed structure, not whether item links are reachable; use a link checker for that. Item HTML is shown as text only and is never rendered. Dates are displayed in UTC.
