What is PRD Generator?
PRD Generator is a manual-first, local PRD workspace. Instead of asking an AI to write the document, you start a Blank PRD or a curated template that matches the initiative — feature, new product, UX improvement, experiment, API, internal tool, migration, performance, AI feature, security, billing, analytics, or deprecation — and edit it in a structured builder. Every PRD autosaves in your browser, so you can reopen, rename, duplicate, or delete it later without an account.
Complete templates and guidance
Every template opens as a complete, fictional PRD — such as Bulk Delete for Customer Records — that you edit or replace instead of filling an empty form. Preview any template first through the same Markdown pipeline as your own documents. Each section offers contextual guidance and the original example section inline, while requirements, user stories, metrics, risks, and tables use add/remove editors with stable REQ-001 style IDs.
Validation, export, and optional AI
Checks stay out of the way while you write and appear when you open Review: template-specific rules flag what that kind of PRD usually misses, such as rollback for a migration or fallback behavior for an AI feature. Unknown baselines and targets stay TBD instead of being invented. Export is never blocked — download Markdown, copy requirements only, or copy AI-agent context at any time, and open the live preview fullscreen. AI assistance is optional: it copies a prompt for your own assistant, and PRDs are stored only in your browser.
