PDF Watermark
Stamp text or a logo onto PDF pages without flattening them
Drop a PDF to watermark
One PDF up to 150 MB. Pages stay vector; nothing is uploaded.
What does PDF Watermark do?
It stamps text such as CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT, or an image such as a logo, onto the pages of a PDF in your browser. The watermark is added as PDF page content on top of the existing pages, so text, links, and vector graphics underneath are kept as they are instead of being turned into images.
How to use
- 1.Drop a PDF or browse for one.
- 2.Choose Text or Image, then type the text or add a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image.
- 3.Adjust size, opacity, rotation, and position, or switch on tiling to repeat the watermark across the page.
- 4.Optionally enter a page range such as 1-3, 5, 8- (leave it empty for all pages).
- 5.Check the preview, click Apply watermark, then download the watermarked PDF.
Options explained
- •Position uses a 3×3 grid; margin is the distance from the page edge in PDF points (72 points = 1 inch).
- •Rotation turns the watermark around its anchor; the rotated watermark is kept inside the chosen grid cell.
- •Tiling repeats the watermark in a grid with adjustable spacing.
- •Image width is a percentage of each page width, so mixed page sizes get proportional watermarks.
- •Pages that are rotated inside the PDF are compensated so the watermark looks the same as in the preview.
Limits and privacy
Text in Latin scripts uses the built-in Helvetica font and stays selectable vector text. Characters outside that font (for example Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Hindi, or Cyrillic) are embedded as a high-resolution transparent image instead. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. A watermark is a visual mark, not access control: anyone with a PDF editor can remove or cover it. The PDF is processed locally and never uploaded.
