What is PDF Diff Checker?
PDF Diff Checker compares two local PDF files and separates meaningful text changes from rendered visual differences. It aligns inserted or removed pages before comparing them, so one extra page does not make every later page look changed.
How to compare two PDFs
- 1.Choose the original PDF and the revised PDF, or load the local example.
- 2.Open Advanced settings only when you need different text normalization.
- 3.Select Compare PDFs to get the semantic result first.
- 4.Choose a change to open its paired pages, then run visual analysis when images, lines, signatures, or layout matter.
Privacy and limitations
Parsing, text extraction, page alignment, and rendering run in your browser; document contents and filenames are not uploaded or persisted. The “likely newer” result is an estimate because PDF dates can be missing or edited. Scanned PDFs without a text layer can still be compared visually, but OCR is not included in this MVP.
