Database Connection String Builder & Parser
Build and parse PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, SQL Server and SQLite connection strings
Enter a host, or a file path for SQLite, to build connection strings.
This tool formats strings only; it never connects to your database.

What it does
Build connection strings from fields, or paste an existing string to see its parts. Supported databases are PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB (including mongodb+srv and replica sets), Redis (redis:// and rediss://), SQL Server and SQLite. Each database only offers the formats it really uses: URI, JDBC, libpq or ADO.NET key/value, SQLite file: URIs and an environment-variable line.
Encoding and quoting
Reserved characters in user names, passwords and database names (such as @ : / ? # % [ ] and spaces) are percent-encoded once. Parsing decodes once, so rebuilding never double-encodes. ADO.NET values that contain ; or = are wrapped in double quotes with inner quotes doubled, Microsoft JDBC values use braces, libpq values use single quotes, and IPv6 hosts are bracketed in URIs.
Parsing
The parser detects URIs, JDBC URLs, libpq and ADO.NET key/value strings, SQLite file: URIs and NAME=value lines from .env files. Recognized options fill the fields; every other option is preserved in order and survives Open in builder. Problems such as an unclosed quote, a port out of range or a port on mongodb+srv are listed with a specific message.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser. Passwords and secret-looking options are masked by default, Copy redacted gives a shareable version, and nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere. Only the selected database, mode and output formats are remembered on this device.
Limits
This tool does not test connections: it never contacts your database, so it cannot tell whether a host, password or TLS setting works. Driver-specific options are not validated, and some drivers accept different spellings of the same option. Input is limited to 16 KB.
