What is Animated QR File Transfer?

A private, browser-only way to move one small file between devices through a changing QR sequence. Fountain-style recovery tolerates missed, repeated, and out-of-order frames, which makes it more resilient than a numbered QR slideshow.

How to use it

Choose Send on the device holding the file, select a reliability preset, and optionally enable compression and passphrase encryption. Start the animation, choose Receive on the other device, scan until verification finishes, then download the reconstructed file.

Privacy, limits, and verification

File bytes stay in memory and are never uploaded. SHA-256 verification is mandatory before download, and encrypted transfers use PBKDF2 with AES-GCM. The tool is optimized for files up to 5 MB, has a 10 MB hard limit, and QR images remain visible to nearby cameras.
